  • About the author

Search for a Google Ads agency in Kolkata and the first page mixes three kinds of result: paid directory placements, agencies based in Mumbai or elsewhere with a Kolkata landing page, and long-established firms whose last real update was years ago. We ran into all three while researching this list. So this ranking starts from a narrower rule: every agency below has a published street address in Kolkata, shows signs of being active in 2025 or 2026, and offers Google Ads management on its own website. Every case study in each entry links back to where we found it.

Short version: Kolkata has a real Google Ads market at three levels: large, long-established firms with enterprise client lists (TechShu, Webskitters, WebGuru Infosystems), performance and e-commerce specialists with a clear angle (Oxedent for Shopping and Performance Max, Adbuffs for Indian D2C brands), and full-service or local-first agencies where paid search is one part of a wider brief (PromotEdge, BUSFAM, OMM Digital Solution, Seven Boats). The right one depends on your category, your budget and how much senior attention your account needs. One disclosure before anything else: this is the Improtics site, and Improtics is a Google Ads agency based in Ahmedabad, not Kolkata. We have left ourselves out of the numbered list and explained where we fit, and where we do not, in a separate, clearly labelled section further down. Weigh that section as you see fit.

Kolkata's digital scene also skews older than most Indian metros. Several of the firms below date back fifteen to twenty years, grew up on web development and SEO, and added paid media as the market matured. That history shapes the list: the city has more long-standing full-service firms than pure PPC boutiques, which affects who you should call for what.

How we judged "best"

Criteria first, names second. Whatever its size, a Google Ads agency worth paying should show most of the following:

  • Accountable to a business metric (ROAS, cost per qualified lead, revenue), not to clicks or "optimizations made."
  • Senior people on the account, not a junior running templates while the founder sells.
  • Real depth in the work that moves money: for e-commerce, active management of the product feed, Shopping and Performance Max; for lead generation, tracking that follows a lead to a sale.
  • You own your account and data, with a clean exit and no lock-in.
  • Published evidence: at least one case study with numbers you can read, or an honest explanation of why there is none.

For this list we added two hard filters. The agency had to have a Kolkata office we could find on its own website or its directory profile, and it had to show activity in 2025 or 2026. That removed several names that rank well in searches. One agency that markets itself heavily to Kolkata describes itself as based in Mumbai and lists no Kolkata address. Two others give only a locality, with no street address anywhere on their sites. A fourth says outright that it serves Kolkata clients remotely, and a fifth had a site we could not get past a security check to read, so we left it out rather than guess.

We also checked Google's own Partners directory where we could, because Partner badges on agency sites are easy to add and hard to verify. Where an entry below says Partner or Premier Partner, we say whether that is the agency's own description, what the directory showed, or both. For the longer version of how to vet an agency, our guide to choosing a Google Ads agency in India goes deeper.

Google Ads agencies in Kolkata worth shortlisting in 2026

1. TechShu (Salt Lake Sector V, Kolkata)

TechShu is one of the longest-running and best-known names among Google Ads agencies in Kolkata. Founded in 2009, it became part of the Indus Net group when Indus Net Technologies took a majority stake in 2016, and it now trades as Indus Net TechShu Digital Private Limited with offices in Chennai, Mumbai, Hyderabad, London, Singapore, Toronto and elsewhere. Its PPC page covers Google Search, Performance Max and Shopping, remarketing and YouTube, and it offers white-label PPC to other agencies. Most of its published case studies are lead generation.

Founded: 2009, per Clutch and Inc42's 2016 report on the acquisition (its homepage mentions both "17+ years" and "20+ years"). Office: 2nd Floor, SDF Building, Saltlake Electronic Complex, Sector V, Kolkata 700091. Team size: over 300 members, per its about page; Clutch lists 50 to 249. Specialties: lead generation for real estate, education, BFSI, pharma and healthcare, plus Performance Max and Shopping. Google status: its site describes it as a Google Premier Partner; when we checked Google's Partners directory, its listing showed a Google Partner badge, and a search with the Premier Partner filter returned no result, so treat the Premier claim as unconfirmed. Pricing: not published; Clutch lists a minimum project of $1,000 and an hourly rate under $25.

Notable clients: logos on its homepage include Tata Steel, Emami, Cipla, Ashok Leyland, Muthoot Finance, Barbeque Nation and Manyavar, and PPC testimonials come from RasoE by Tata Steel, Neotia Getwel Healthcare Centre and Peerless Hospital. The homepage does not say which logos are Google Ads work, so ask.

Case study: for Kolkata real estate developer Bengal Peerless, TechShu reports 8x lead growth and 3x sales from the third month, cost per lead three times lower from the fourth month, and more than 1,000 leads at a 30 percent qualification rate within six months. The work combined Search, Display and YouTube with Facebook, LinkedIn, remarketing and SEO, so this is a multi-channel result. Source

Best for: mid-size and large brands, especially in real estate, education, healthcare and BFSI, and agencies wanting a white-label partner with bench depth. Less suited for: a small store that wants a senior specialist in its account every week; at this size, ask exactly who your day-to-day manager is and how many accounts they carry.

2. Oxedent (Lake Town, Kolkata)

Oxedent is the most specialised firm on this list. It describes itself as "Scaling e-Commerce with Paid Ads Since 2017," says "eCommerce ads management is all we do," and turns away categories it will not take on. Its homepage covers Google Ads management, Google Shopping "including feed optimisation" and Performance Max, alongside Facebook ads. The delivery team works from Lake Town, while the client-facing company is Oxedent Marketing Ltd, registered in England and Wales, which is why its prices are in pounds and most of its clients are in the UK, Australia and the UAE.

Founded: 2017, per its about page and Clutch. Office: 17/K/11 Dakshindari Road, Lake Town, Kolkata 700048, per its own contact page (Clutch lists a Sector V address and London as HQ; there is also an office in Ilford, London). Team size: 2 to 9, per Clutch, with most of the team in Kolkata. Specialties: Google Shopping, Performance Max, Search, Microsoft Ads, Shopify stores; Clutch shows 100 percent of its work as PPC. Google status: its homepage says "Oxedent is a Google Partner" and links to Google's directory; we did not confirm the tier there. Pricing: published as a percentage of spend, with the example "If you spend £1K on Ads our charges £350," no long-term contract, and a stated minimum ad spend of £2,000 a month.

Notable clients: logos and testimonials on its homepage include Reliance, Nikon, Spykar and RevComps, and its case studies name EKAM, Workwear Gurus and Foro.

Case study: for EKAM, an Indian fragrance and scented candle brand, Oxedent reports CPA down 81 percent, CPC down 39 percent, sales up 87 percent and ROAS up 59 percent within five months, across Google Ads and Facebook. Results are given as percentages only, with no baseline or spend. Source

Best for: online stores, especially those selling to the UK or abroad, that want a team doing nothing but e-commerce PPC. Less suited for: lead generation, B2B and local Kolkata service businesses, and buyers who want a rupee contract or a large team.

3. Adbuffs (Sector V, Kolkata)

Adbuffs started in 2019 "as a two-member team" and has grown to more than 110 people by its own count, almost all of its work aimed at direct-to-consumer brands. It buys media across Google, Meta, YouTube, marketplaces and quick commerce, and pairs that with creative, retention and unit economics work for consumer brands. Its case study library is long and names its clients, mostly beauty, wellness, fashion and jewellery labels.

Founded: 2019, per its about page. Office: Unit 901, 9th Floor, Aurora Waterfront, opposite Nalban, Sector V, Bidhannagar, Kolkata 700091. Team size: 110+, per its about page. Specialties: Indian D2C and Shopify brands, Meta and Google media buying, marketplace and quick commerce ads, creative. Google status: not stated; its site shows a Google logo among partners without a status, and highlights its Meta agency standing. Pricing: not published.

Notable clients: Sanfe, Renee Cosmetics, Knya, Curlvana, Menoveda, Plush and The Amethyst Store, all named in its case studies.

Case study: for silver jewellery brand The Amethyst Store, Adbuffs reports Rs 10 crore in revenue for 2024, up more than 25 percent on 2023, with average order value rising from Rs 11,000 to Rs 15,000 and new customer revenue up from Rs 5 crore to Rs 7 crore, on 14 percent more ad spend. The work spanned Meta Ads, Google Ads and retention, and the page does not separate Google's share. Source

Best for: Indian D2C brands that want paid media, creative and retention under one roof. Less suited for: B2B and lead generation businesses, very small budgets, and anyone who wants Google-only proof; most of its published results are blended across channels and lean on Meta.

4. Webskitters (Salt Lake Sector V, Kolkata)

Webskitters is a large software and web development company that started in 2010 and now lists more than 800 professionals and offices in Bengaluru, London, Manchester and several US cities. Paid media sits inside its digital marketing arm rather than at the centre of the business, but it publishes a set of PPC case studies, several of them showing Shopping and Performance Max work for e-commerce clients. Its PPC page covers e-commerce product listing ads, remarketing, landing pages, bid strategy and conversion tracking.

Founded: 2010, per its about page and Clutch. Office: Eco Intelligent Park, Unit 7E, 7th Floor, Block EM, Plot 3, Salt Lake Sector V, Kolkata 700091. Team size: 800+, per its site; Clutch lists 250 to 999. Specialties: web, app and e-commerce development, with PPC for e-commerce and real estate clients. Google status: its about page timeline lists "Google Partner certification" in 2025; we did not confirm it in Google's directory. Pricing: not published; Clutch lists a minimum project of $10,000 and $25 to $49 an hour.

Notable clients: its case studies name Perfect Preowned, Enviro Waste Management, Black, Bloom Living and Luvlap.

Case study: for Australian refurbished electronics store Perfect Preowned, Webskitters describes fixing the Shopping feed, adding negatives, running Performance Max for higher-value stock and splitting campaigns by MacBook, iPhone and Samsung, alongside Meta. It reports a 700 percent ROAS (the body text calls it a 700 percent increase in ROAS) and conversion rate up 45 percent, with the engagement listed as ongoing and no dates or spend given. Source

Best for: businesses that need a store, site or app built and want paid campaigns run by the same vendor, and e-commerce brands whose feed and site need fixing alongside ads. Less suited for: small budgets given the Clutch minimum, and advertisers looking for a dedicated PPC specialist; Clutch does not list PPC among its main service lines at all.

5. PromotEdge (Salt Lake Sector V, Kolkata)

PromotEdge is a full-service integrated agency that started in Kolkata in 2015 and now lists 47 services across strategy, advertising, digital and on-ground activation, with a head office at the Ambuja Neotia Eco Centre. Its Google Ads page is one of the most detailed and current in the city: Search with call and lead form assets, Performance Max judged on ROAS and margin, Shopping and Merchant Center work with custom labels and margin-based bidding, YouTube, Demand Gen and offline conversion imports from a CRM. It is also the only agency on this list whose Kolkata page says it writes in Bengali, Hindi and English.

Founded: 2015, per its own site (Clutch lists 2018, which matches the year in its company registration). Office: Suite 508, 5th Floor, Ambuja Neotia Eco Centre, Block EM, Plot 4, Sector V, Salt Lake, Kolkata 700091; its site says this is its only office. Team size: 65+ in-house, per its site. Specialties: FMCG, steel and manufacturing, real estate, education, tea and agribusiness, D2C, with Bengali language copy. Google status: no Partner claim on its site, and we found no listing in Google's directory. Pricing: no price list, by policy; usually a fixed fee up to a set limit, then a percentage of ad spend or sales, with a three-month minimum and 30 days' notice after that.

Notable clients: its clients page lists 121 names, including Tata Steel, Rupa, Veedol, Zandu, ITC, Vikram Solar, Skipper and Ambuja Neotia. The page itself says a name there is not proof of any particular work, so ask which accounts are paid search.

Case study: not published. PromotEdge says it has retired its old case studies, and the only one live is for a group company with "results shared: none published." Ask for a comparable account in the pitch. Source

Best for: Kolkata and eastern India brands, especially manufacturing, FMCG, real estate and education, that want Google Ads as part of a wider brand and media mandate, including Bengali copy. Less suited for: buyers who choose on published Google Ads results or a Partner listing, since neither was available.

6. BUSFAM (Salt Lake Sector V, Kolkata)

BUSFAM traces its roots to February 2016 and describes itself as a 360-degree branding and digital marketing partner, with a registered office in Sector V and a corporate office in Pune, plus addresses in Singapore and the Philippines. Its PPC page calls it "The Leading PPC Agency in Kolkata" and covers keyword research, audience targeting, ad copy, landing pages, conversion tracking and smart bidding, though it does not break out Shopping, Performance Max or YouTube. Its client logos are heavily Bengal-based, from colleges and restaurants to a football club.

Founded: 2016, per its site and Clutch. Office: Merlin Infinite, Office 512, 5th Floor, DN-51, Salt Lake Sector V, Bidhannagar, Kolkata 700091 (Clutch shows an older Sector V address). Team size: 10 to 49, per Clutch, with 21 to 30 in Kolkata. Specialties: social media, SEO, websites and branding with PPC, for education, healthcare, restaurants and real estate. Google status: its site shows a Google Partner badge linking to Google's directory, and a BUSFAM listing exists there; we could not read the tier. Pricing: not published; Clutch lists a minimum project of $5,000 and under $25 an hour.

Notable clients: its case studies name Fortune Realty, Bawarchi, ServiceZet, Rising Care and Dr. B. C. Roy Engineering College, and homepage logos include East Bengal Club and Hindusthan Sweets.

Case study: for Fortune Realty, a real estate brand in Barasat, BUSFAM reports "nearly 6X revenue from the leads provided by us," from work spanning the website, landing pages, social, SEO, branding and PPC. No timeframe or baseline is given, so read it as a multi-channel claim rather than a Google Ads result. Source

Best for: Kolkata SMEs, colleges and restaurants that want brand building, social and local search from one agency that knows Bengal businesses. Less suited for: e-commerce brands that need Shopping and Performance Max depth; ask for a Google-only example before signing.

7. OMM Digital Solution (Dum Dum, Kolkata)

OMM Digital Solution is a small full-service shop in Dum Dum that calls itself "a performance-driven Digital Marketing Agency and Google Partner in Kolkata." Its Google Ads page covers Search, Shopping, YouTube, Display, App and remarketing campaigns, and it sells a long menu beyond ads: websites, social media, SEO, bulk SMS and WhatsApp, voice calls, custom CRMs and marketplace listings. Its portfolio is mostly Kolkata SMEs in real estate, interiors, education, travel and retail, and its blog is written for local businesses in areas such as Rajarhat and Behala.

Founded: not confirmed; its site cites "8+ years of digital expertise" and Clutch lists 2015 while also saying "since 2021." Office: 3/3 Swami Vivekananda Road, Dum Dum, Kolkata 700074, per its own site. Team size: 10 to 49, per Clutch, with 10 to 15 in Kolkata. Specialties: local lead generation, websites and social media for SMEs. Google status: its site says "We Are Google Partner" and links to a Google directory listing for OMM Digital Solution Pvt. Ltd., which exists; we could not read the tier. Pricing: not published; Clutch lists a minimum project of $1,000.

Notable clients: homepage logos include SEI Edu Trust, Trek in Sikkim, Grillex, Karims and PS Hospitality, and its portfolio names Premium Bathware, Green Space Interior and Mahalaxmi's Jewellers. Logos such as Hitachi and Kohler appear without any description of the work.

Case study: we could not find a published case study with numbers. The twelve case studies on its homepage, including one that used Google PPC and Meta lead campaigns for an overseas education consultancy, describe results in words only. Source

Best for: small local businesses that want a website, social media and basic Google Ads from one low-cost vendor. Less suited for: brands that want numbers-backed Google Ads management or Performance Max depth; neither is shown on the site.

8. WebGuru Infosystems (Salt Lake Sector V, Kolkata)

WebGuru is a long-running web and mobile development company that "started with 4-5 software developers in 2005" and now reports more than 100 staff, with a US office in New York State. It sells digital marketing alongside development, and its PPC page covers paid search on Google and Bing, Shopping, Display, YouTube, remarketing, paid social, landing pages and account audits. Its client list is one of the most recognisable in the city, though most of it reflects web work. GoodFirms puts PPC at about 6 percent of its service focus.

Founded: 2005, per its site, Clutch and GoodFirms. Office: Y8, Block EP, Sector V, Salt Lake, Kolkata 700091. Team size: 100+, per its site; Clutch and GoodFirms list 50 to 249. Specialties: web, app and e-commerce development, with SEO and PPC. Google status: no Partner claim on its site, and we found no listing in Google's directory. Pricing: not published on its price list page; Clutch lists a minimum project of $5,000 and under $25 an hour.

Notable clients: its clients page names Zee Entertainment, Aditya Birla Group, ITC, HDFC Bank, State Bank of India, the University of Calcutta and Glenburn, without saying which used Google Ads.

Case study: its published PPC case study is from 2020. For an SIP Abacus drawing contest across eastern India, WebGuru reports 61,200 visitors and 16,000 registrations from a Rs 1,47,600 spend. Google Ads took Rs 32,800 of that for 28,200 visitors, and was cut back in week two and stopped in week three because its cost per acquisition was too high, with the rest of the budget moving to Facebook and Instagram. That candour is useful, but it is not a recent Google Ads result. Source

Best for: organisations that want a website or e-commerce build plus campaigns from one stable, low-cost vendor. Less suited for: e-commerce brands that need a specialist team with recent Shopping or Performance Max results.

9. Seven Boats (Jessore Road, Nagerbazar, Kolkata)

Seven Boats has been in Kolkata "since 2011" and is as well known for its digital marketing academy, with centres in Baranagar, Bhowanipore, Khardah and Nagerbazar, as for its agency work. Its PPC page covers Search, Display, Video, Shopping, app and Smart campaigns, and its e-commerce page adds Google Shopping, Performance Max, Amazon and Flipkart ads. It is also one of the few firms in the city that publishes a starting price, and its client list is strongly Bengali.

Founded: 2011, per its site. Office: 1/72 Diamond Arcade, Unit 304, Jessore Road, Kolkata 700055, the same building as its Nagerbazar academy centre; it also lists a partner-run office in Phnom Penh. Team size: not published. Specialties: SEO, social and PPC for local businesses, plus marketing training. Google status: no Partner claim on its site and no listing we could find in Google's directory; its founder describes himself as a Google certified digital marketer. Pricing: "service rates start from Rs 10,000 per month," per its homepage.

Notable clients: its homepage names Senco Gold, CESC, Bangur Cement, Emami Art, JIS Group, Tantuja and Calcutta Business School.

Case study: we could not find a Google Ads case study with performance numbers. Its case studies page leans on SEO and social work, the one paid example with a figure is a Facebook campaign, and most appear to date from 2016 to 2022. Its blog has not had a new post since December 2024; its 2025 and 2026 activity shows in its press page and footer. Source

Best for: small and mid-size local businesses that want an affordable, long-established Kolkata agency, and anyone also looking for marketing training. Less suited for: brands that want a Google Ads specialist with recent, numbers-backed paid search results.

Read case studies for the shape, not the headline

A 6x revenue claim with no timeframe and an 81 percent CPA drop with no baseline are both hard to judge on their own. When an agency shows you a case study, ask what the account looked like before, how long the result took, how much was spent, and whether it came from Google Ads alone or from several channels together. Most of the results above are multi-channel, and we have said so where the source does.

What a Google Ads agency in Kolkata costs

Kolkata is typically the most affordable of India's big metros for the same scope of work. Office rent in Salt Lake Sector V or New Town is well below Lower Parel or Gurgaon, salaries follow, and that shows up in quotes. Very few Google Ads agencies in Kolkata publish their fees, so the ranges below are the bands commonly quoted in the local market. Read them as norms to calibrate against, not price tags:

Comparison of Kolkata Google Ads management fee bands in rupees, showing who runs the account and whether feed and Performance Max work is included at each tier
What each fee band typically buys in Kolkata. The number that predicts results is accounts per manager, not the fee itself.
Rs 10,000 to 25,000Typical monthly fee at the entry level, usually a junior manager with a large portfolio
Rs 30,000 to 60,000Typical monthly retainer at an established agency with a dedicated manager
10 to 20 percentCommon percentage-of-spend fee on larger managed accounts
18 percentGST on agency fees, so check whether a quote includes it

The entry band is unusually crowded in Kolkata, which is exactly why it needs the most careful vetting. A Rs 6,000 "complete management" package only works financially if one person carries dozens of accounts, which means yours gets minutes a week. Ask how many accounts your manager runs, and whether feed work, conversion tracking and landing page changes are inside the retainer or billed separately.

Then judge the fee against the budget it protects. If you spend Rs 2,00,000 a month and a cheap package lets 20 percent of it leak into irrelevant searches, you lose Rs 40,000 a month to save a few thousand in fees. A higher retainer that stops the leak is the cheaper option. Our PPC services pricing guide covers how to compare quotes line by line, and the break-even ROAS guide shows how to work out what return your margins actually need.

Work a Google Ads agency in Kolkata should understand

Location does not change how Google Ads works, but the businesses that hire Kolkata agencies have patterns of their own. A good local partner should be comfortable with most of these, and you should ask about the ones that apply to you.

Tea, jute and other legacy trades going online

Kolkata has been the centre of India's tea trade for well over a century, and the jute industry along the Hooghly is still concentrated around the city. Both are now selling directly to consumers: estate teas and premium blends online, jute bags and home goods to retail and export buyers. For a tea brand the account is classic e-commerce, where Shopping and Performance Max depend on a feed that names the estate, grade, flush and pack size the way buyers search. For a jute manufacturer, much of the demand is B2B and export, so the agency has to keep "wholesale", "manufacturer" and "custom printed" searches apart from retail shoppers and measure enquiries, not just clicks.

FMCG and consumer brands

Several large consumer companies were founded or are still headquartered in Kolkata, and the city has a long tail of regional food, personal care and household brands. For these advertisers Google Ads is rarely only about direct sales. YouTube and Demand Gen build awareness, Search captures demand, and marketplace and quick commerce sales sit outside Google's conversion tracking entirely. An agency should be able to explain how it will judge a campaign whose sales mostly happen on Amazon, Blinkit or in a store, and our Demand Gen guide covers where that campaign type fits.

Steel, engineering and B2B manufacturing

Eastern India's steel, mining equipment, engineering and industrial supply businesses often run their sales offices out of Kolkata. These are lead generation accounts with low volumes and high deal values. Tracking a form fill is not enough: the agency should help you record which enquiries became quotes and orders, and feed that back into bidding. Ask about export targeting too, because a buyer in Bangladesh, Nepal, the Middle East or Africa searches differently and converts on a different timeline from a domestic distributor.

Education and coaching

Kolkata has a dense market of schools, colleges, coaching institutes and online course providers, with sharp admission seasons. Education accounts live on lead quality: a cheap enquiry from someone outside your eligibility or catchment wastes counsellor time. Ask how the agency will separate admission enquiries from job seekers and students looking for free material, and how it will report cost per enrolled student rather than cost per form.

Healthcare

The city draws patients from across eastern India, Bangladesh and the North East, and hospitals, diagnostic chains, IVF centres and specialist clinics advertise heavily. Healthcare is a restricted category in Google Ads, with certification requirements for some services and limits on personalised targeting. An agency that has not handled these policies can lose weeks to disapprovals. Our guide to fixing disapproved ads explains the common causes, and you should ask any agency which healthcare accounts it has run.

Sarees, handloom and Bengali fashion D2C

Tant, Baluchari, Jamdani, Kantha and Murshidabad silk sarees have moved online in a big way, through both established retailers and small weavers' labels. For apparel sellers, Shopping and Performance Max succeed or fail on the feed: titles that name the weave, fabric, occasion and colour the way buyers search, accurate images, and prices that include GST. Handloom sellers with small catalogues also need an agency that will not bury their best sellers in a single catch-all campaign. Our Shopping feed optimisation guide covers the title and attribute work in detail.

Sweets and food brands

Kolkata's sweet shops and food brands, from rosogolla and sandesh makers to spice, snack and ready-to-cook labels, increasingly ship across India. Perishable products bring their own Google Ads problems: delivery areas that must match targeting, shipping costs that change margins, and festive gifting peaks that compress weeks of demand into days. The agency should be able to set location targeting by delivery zone and plan separate gifting campaigns rather than simply raising budgets.

Bengali language ads and the Kolkata calendar

Google Ads supports Bengali as a targeting language, and Bengali ad copy is worth testing for local services, regional food and fashion brands, and audiences in West Bengal and Bangladesh. Many Bengali speakers still search in English or in Bengali typed in Roman script, often on phones set to English, so Bengali campaigns usually work as an addition to English ones rather than a replacement. Ask any Google Ads agency in Kolkata how it would split, write and measure the two.

The calendar matters as much as the language. Durga Puja is the biggest shopping season in the city, and for apparel, sweets, jewellery and gifting it outweighs Diwali. Demand starts climbing weeks before Mahalaya, CPCs rise with it, and stock and budgets need to be in place well before the spike. Poila Baishakh, the Bengali new year in April, is a second peak for clothing, sweets and gifting, and Diwali and the winter wedding season follow Puja closely. A good agency plans these into the account months ahead instead of adjusting after demand has already moved.

Where Improtics fits, and why it is not in the numbered list

Disclosure first: this is our site, and we are not a Google Ads agency in Kolkata. Improtics is a Google Ads agency based in Ahmedabad, and we work with brands across India and abroad without visiting their cities. We kept ourselves out of the ranking above because a firm ranking itself among the agencies it competes with is not a neutral judge, and because the two filters we applied to everyone else, a Kolkata office being the first, would rule us out anyway. So we would rather tell you plainly what we do and let you decide.

Our model is narrow on purpose. A senior specialist works directly on your account: more than five years in Google Ads, 50+ accounts, and over $30M in managed spend, concentrated on e-commerce fundamentals like feed quality, Shopping and Performance Max structure, and scaling at a held ROAS. Most of our work is remote, for brands in India, the US and the UK, and for agencies that need a white-label fulfilment partner. An example is our Indian apparel restructure case study, where purchase revenue grew about 4x and purchase ROAS rose from 2.2x to 3.6x.

The case for looking beyond the city does not rest on us, though. It rests on the nature of the work. A Google Ads account is managed in a browser, judged on data, and discussed over calls. Nothing about optimising a product feed or restructuring Performance Max requires anyone to sit in Salt Lake. Limiting your shortlist to Kolkata addresses means an office lease is doing part of your filtering, and the lease has no opinion on skill.

We suit D2C and e-commerce brands that want senior attention on feeds, Shopping and scaling without big-agency overhead, and that are happy to run the relationship on calls and shared reporting. We do not suit businesses that want SEO, social media, web development and ads from one contract, since we run Google Ads and Microsoft Ads and nothing else. We are also the wrong choice if you want weekly in-person meetings, Bengali copywriting done in house, or a team that can visit your factory or showroom. Several agencies above do exactly those things well, and for those needs they are the honest recommendation. If our model sounds right, request a free audit of your account, or book a free 30-minute audit call, and we will tell you what we see, including when someone on this list is the better fit. Our guide to Google Ads for Indian e-commerce brands shows how we think about the work itself.

Enterprise vs boutique: pick the tier, then the name

Google Ads agencies in Kolkata split into tiers, and the tier decision matters more than the name:

Large, long-established firms (TechShu, Webskitters, WebGuru Infosystems)

  • Hundreds of staff, multiple offices, enterprise client lists
  • Process maturity and the comfort of institutional stability
  • Strong for large lead generation programmes, agencies outsourcing work, and projects that bundle development with ads
  • Paid search competes with many other services for senior attention; ask who runs your account and how many others they carry

Specialists and local full-service agencies (Oxedent, Adbuffs, PromotEdge, BUSFAM, OMM Digital Solution, Seven Boats)

  • Smaller teams, often with founders close to the work
  • A clear angle: e-commerce PPC, Indian D2C, brand-led integrated work, or local SMEs
  • Better value at moderate budgets, more attention per rupee, and in some cases Bengali copy and local market knowledge
  • Less cover if a key person leaves; ask about continuity and who backs up your manager

The pattern to avoid is buying the wrong tier for your need. A Rs 2 lakh monthly budget at a firm built around enterprise mandates becomes a small account; the same budget at a specialist that knows your category is a priority. Equally, a Shopping specialist is the wrong hire if what you actually need is a rebrand, a website and a Durga Puja campaign across print and digital. If your primary need is profitable ad spend rather than integrated everything, the specialist tier usually returns more per rupee. If you are commissioning a website, a rebrand and campaigns together, the established firms and full-service agencies earn their breadth.

Questions to ask a Google Ads agency in Kolkata before you sign

Whichever names make your shortlist, put the same questions to each one and compare how specific the answers are:

  1. Who runs my account day to day, and how many others do they manage? A name and a number, not "our team."
  2. Who owns the Google Ads and Merchant Center accounts? It should be you, with admin access, from day one.
  3. Show me a comparable account. What it looked like when they took it over, what they changed, and what happened, with the time it took and whether Google Ads alone produced the result.
  4. How will you check that conversions match real orders or leads? If they launch without checking tracking, everything built on top is guesswork. Our guide to conversion tracking problems lists what to look for.
  5. How will you plan for Durga Puja, Poila Baishakh and Diwali? A good answer names dates, budgets and stock checks weeks ahead, not "we will scale when demand rises."
  6. What does the first month look like, and what is the notice period? A clear plan and a clean exit are both signs of an agency confident in its work.

What to do with this list

Treat it as a starting shortlist, not a verdict. Pick the two or three Google Ads agencies in Kolkata that match your tier and category, run them through the criteria at the top and the questions above, and read their case studies with the context in mind. The answers will separate real operators from polished pitches faster than any ranking can. Our longer piece on choosing a Google Ads agency in India gives you the full vetting script, and our Google Ads audit checklist shows what a competent agency should check in its first week.

If you are open to agencies outside the city, our ranking of the best Google Ads agencies in India widens the field nationally. Our Mumbai ranking covers the country's largest agency market, the Delhi NCR ranking covers the capital region, and the Ahmedabad ranking uses the same two filters as this one. If you would rather start from evidence than promises, request a free audit of your existing account, or book a call and we will go through it with you.

Frequently asked questions

Which is the best Google Ads agency in Kolkata?

There is no single best one; there is the one that fits your size and category. For large lead generation programmes and enterprise brands, TechShu is the most established option, with Webskitters and WebGuru Infosystems suited to projects that combine development and ads. For e-commerce, Oxedent focuses only on online stores and Adbuffs on Indian D2C brands. For Google Ads inside a wider brand mandate with Bengali copy, PromotEdge stands out, and BUSFAM, OMM Digital Solution and Seven Boats suit local SMEs on modest budgets. Shortlist two or three and judge them on who will actually run your account.

What do Google Ads agencies in Kolkata charge?

Commonly quoted ranges run from about Rs 10,000 to Rs 25,000 a month at the entry level, Rs 30,000 to Rs 60,000 at established agencies with a dedicated manager, and Rs 60,000 upward or 10 to 20 percent of ad spend for senior teams on larger accounts. Seven Boats publishes a starting rate of Rs 10,000 a month, and Oxedent publishes percentage-of-spend pricing in pounds. Add 18 percent GST if the quote excludes it, and compare what each fee includes, not just the number.

Is a freelancer better than a Kolkata agency?

For many growing businesses, a strong freelancer or small specialist gives you senior hands directly on the account, usually at a lower fee. An agency gives you a bench and continuity if someone leaves. The deciding question is the experience of the person making decisions in your account and how many other accounts compete for their attention. Our guide to hiring a Google Ads freelancer walks through the vetting, and consultant vs agency vs freelancer compares the three models.

How can I tell if a Kolkata agency is doing good work?

Three tells: they report against revenue, profit or qualified leads rather than clicks, they can explain last month's changes and the reasoning behind them, and they raise problems before you find them. A monthly PDF of metrics with no commentary, and no answer to "what did you change and why," is a warning regardless of the numbers on it.

Which Kolkata agencies are Google Premier Partners?

None that we could confirm. TechShu describes itself as a Google Premier Partner on its site, but when we checked Google's Partners directory its listing showed a Google Partner badge and a Premier Partner search returned nothing. BUSFAM and OMM Digital Solution both have listings in Google's directory, and Oxedent and Webskitters describe themselves as Google Partners. Check the directory yourself before relying on a badge. Premier status signals scale and activity on Google; it does not tell you who will run your account.

Can a Kolkata agency run Google Ads in Bengali?

Yes. Google Ads supports Bengali as a targeting language, and PromotEdge's Kolkata page says it writes in Bengali, Hindi and English. Bengali ad copy is worth testing for local services, food, fashion and regional audiences, but many Bengali speakers search in English or in Bengali typed in Roman script, so Bengali campaigns usually work as an addition to English ones rather than a replacement. Ask any agency how it would split and measure the two.

When should Kolkata brands plan their Durga Puja campaigns?

Well before Mahalaya. Search demand and CPCs for clothing, sweets, jewellery and gifts climb for weeks before the Pujas, so budgets, stock, feed updates and festive creative should be ready a month or more ahead. The same applies, on a smaller scale, to Poila Baishakh in April and to Diwali, which follows the Pujas closely.

Does the agency have to be based in Kolkata?

No. The account is managed inside Google's platform and reviewed over calls, so the work does not depend on location; a specialist in Ahmedabad, Bengaluru or anywhere else operates it the same way as one in Salt Lake. A local agency helps if in-person meetings matter to how you work, or if you value someone who knows the Bengal calendar, the Bengali language and the city's industries first hand. Otherwise, choose on category experience and seniority, wherever the agency sits.
